This literacy unit consists of sight words, fluency, accuracy, reading comprehension, and sight words. Students have the opportunity to read a story about a self-centered dog, named Nikki. Educators will receive a fluency passage, comprehension questions, sight words, and important announcements from Mr. Tay Tay (aka Mr. Taylor) in regards to his upcoming book Nikki's World: The Dog Walk. This reading unit is ideal for this week because April 11 will be National Pet Day.
