Oviparous Animal Unit
This resource goes very well with the story “Chickens Aren’t the Only Ones” by Ruth Heller. I send home the parent letter the Friday before to let parents know their child will be coming home with a “pet” egg on Monday. Each pet egg is just a plastic easter egg. Inside the egg, I print and cut out the oviparous animals. Depending on class size each student will have a different animal or there may be 2 of one animal.
