Two Mazes on Converse of Pythagorean theorem, one maze on the Pythagorean Theorem with whole numbers and a "DESIGN YOUR OWN" maze for students to plan a route and find the answers themselves. PAGE 5 that isn't shown has the picture to use. Page 4 is just to plan the route. Teachers in my department

Students will use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine if three given lengths will make an acute triangle, obtuse triangle, or a right triangle. Their answers will direct them to the next question. The maze is designed to help students self assess so that if a student gets an answer

This activity allows students to practice classifying triangles using the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem. Each group (2-4 students recommended per group) uses playing cards to generate "segment lengths" that they will then classify as "no triangle", or an acute, right, or obtuse triangle.

Students investigate patterns of the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem. I usually have my students use GeoGebra to create each of the triangles. I work with 10th graders and I have always had a few students in each class come up with the converse on their own.
