These are a few activities connected to analyzing Adam Bagasarian's novel Forgotten Fire. It also includes a more detailed version of a test and study guide than my free one. They could be used as homework instead of basic reading questions or as in class activities. They focus on analyzing the changes that Vahan goes through and using textual evidence to back up ideas from the text. It also includes a fun song analysis activity. This guide compares the experience of Vahan Kenderian, from Adam Bagdasarian's novel Forgotten Fire, to Mikael Boghosian, from the 2016 film The Promise. This is a really fun activity and super helpful for getting those students who are typically very quiet involved. In this activity, students reflect on what they have learned or noticed within Adam Bagdasarian's novel, Forgotten Fire. During the activity, students read the sheet of paper, write a response, and then pass it to the next person. As they pass it around they can respond to each other or develop ideas. You can increase the rigor by requiring textual evidence.
