The order of operations is a common skill that students' learn in K-6. This is an alternative method of teaching the order of power. Students learn to solve these multistep problems, by learning how to perform task from the greatest power to the least.

This document contains a step by step guide to properly using the order of operations to evaluate a numerical expression. A graphic organizer is also available to assist with the order of which operation should be performed first.
