On the first one, students will have to decide if a verb is an Action or Linking Verb. One the second worksheet, students will have to "Link" the subject with the noun or adjective in the predicate that describes it.
This is a three part activity, originally designed as a file folder game. Students will start out by sorting 20 cards into 2 stockings: Action Verbs or Linking Verbs. They will read the card, identify the verb, and then place the card on the appropriate stocking.
