Linear Equations Project... Stained Glass Window
This project is a great way for students to demonstrate some of the things they’ve learned about graphing equations, they will solve and graph linear equations to create a stained glass window. In addition, they will answer questions pertaining to s

Stained Glass Window Graphing Project is also available in the following packages at a discount:
1) Middle School Math Lessons, Projects, and Games eBook (42 engaging math activities - 438 pages) ($87.00)
2) Algebra and Functions Activities eBook for Middle School Math (6 lessons/ projects) ($2

Graphing Circles Stained Glass Window Activity is designed to help students practice identifying the center and radius of circle equations and then graphing the corresponding circles using a compass.
Equations are in standard form, and no center or radius results in a decimal or radical.
Students

Students will be given 12 linear relationships. Some tables and equations will need to be converted into slope-intercept form.
Students will then graph each of the 12 lines on a coordinate plane to form a star-like pattern, that they can then color, and paste on construction paper.

Students must graph 14 different lines to create a stained glass window. This assignment is differentiated in three different forms:
1) All equations in slope-intercept form
2) All equations in standard form
3) Students are given 7 equations in standard form and must create 7 equations
For each e

Students will be able to graph equations in Slope intercept form and standard form to create a unique stained glass window.

Students graph linear and nonlinear equations using tables. After the equations are graphed, students can color the spaces between lines to create a "stained glass window."The students are to fill in the table with the appropriate x values. We use -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 for equations unless there are fract

CCSS:

Students solve 6 systems of equations graphically on a piece of graph paper (not included). They graph all 6 problems on the same graph. Then they can color in the graph to look like a stained glass window.

Common Core Standards: 8.EE6, 8.F3, 8.F4
This activity is a fun art/math crossover project. Students will practice graphing lines in slope-intercept form. The equations include lines with positive, negative, zero, and undefined slope. The final product will resemble a stained-glass window that can b

This activity focuses on students creating tables to find solutions for linear functions, then using the solutions to graph the lines. The students are given a template of blank equations and tables - they create their own equations by making up the coefficients and constants for their equations and

This is a great linear equation/slope review. Have the students fill in the x and y charts then graph the lines on the attached graph paper or on loose graph paper. *if you are going to put the finished product on a window loose graph paper works best with marker.
There are two versions of the tab

Students are given the scenario of being commissioned to create a stained-glass window for a new architecture firm. This provides a real-world scenario for students to practice graphing systems of equations, as well as creating systems of equations when given constraints.

Students will practice graphing linear equations given Standard Form, Slope-Intercept Form and Point-Slope Form Equations. There are THREE LEVELS of equations included to allow for easy differentiation of instruction.Level 1 consists of graphing from Slope-Intercept Form and includes vertical/horiz

This is the stained glass window project on steroids. Each student is given a list of conditions to choose from. They will choose 1 from each section and graph lines given those conditions. After graphing, students will create a table of information about each line. The table must include the number

Fun way for students to showcase their skills!
Students solve for slope intercept form of 14 equations. Example, 2y + 3x = 12, students would put this equation in the y= mx + b format, graph their line on a coordinate plane, and color each shape they have created to appear like a stained glass win
