My students are K/1 self-contained learners. They are excited to learn everything! They love learning through play and movement. Opportunities to incorporate visuals are so important for my students as many of them need to build their oral language skills and our goal is to support their independence. In our classroom, everyone is valued, and community is key to success. We are seeking to create an environment where our strengths are magnified and celebrated every day, and every student learns to see themselves the way we see them - as bright shining stars! My first pass at fund raising has been so successful (which I really did not expect!) that I was able to purchase amazing visual supports for my students! These are such a fantastic help and will be used for years to come! Moving forward - I am hoping to raise some funds for Social/Emotional/Learning supports - as I consider these to be so important for everyone. If we are not able to regulate our emotions, we are not able to have successful social relationships. I am also always looking for ELA and Math resources to help my students as needs arise. When teaching different topics or genres there is always something that may need to be presented another way (or three other ways) to help a student understand the concept, and I am happy to look to TPT for help!
