This 4-page Webquest is my most up-to-date activity, and is perfect for several of the Common Core Standards. The activity begins with a pre-research activity (What do you already know about the 1930s?), follows onto a structured internet research activity where students need to find direct quotes from reading or viewing materials to support or refute a claim, continues with a paragraph writing activity which uses the statement and the quotes the students find, and ends with a poster project for a creative tie-in. In between some of the activities, I show the students more pictures and videos about the era, along with some class discussion. I also aide students in writing their paragraphs before we begin the poster project. Please note that the activity does not tell you how to teach the Great Depression, paragraph and quote writing, or research. This is product is a packet of worksheets for the students and does not come with an answer sheet.
