"Take me out to the bALLgame..." 7 baseball themed phonics activities to help you teach variant vowel o {-all}! Activities included in this packet can be used during guided reading, whole group reading, or literacy stations.

Your students will have a BALL with these 7 activities:

1. {-all} Baseball Game: Just like baseball, but with reading (and only 7 innings)! Students will make home runs by reading {-all} words correctly, and will earn points for their "team"--this game includes playing pieces, a pitcher's mitt, baseball reading cards, a game board, and scoreboard.
2. Baseball read and write the room: students will read {-all} baseballs, and record them on a recording sheet!
3. Baseball flip book: Practice reading {-all} words with a flip-the-letter baseball booklet.
4. {-all} Word Search work page: students will hunt and find {-all} words in a word search!
5. Baseball Cover Up: Using spinners, students will cover {-all} words created on their game boards with little baseballs!
6. Build a Baseball Player: Using the spinners again, students will spin beginning blends and endings to build -all words, and to "build a baseball player"--words created with the spinner earn pieces for the baseball player, such as a bat, ball, mitt, etc.
7. Catch the Ball Match Up: A concentration game using {-all} words on baseballs and mitts!

Bonus Activity:
Baseball Dress UP Day Letter: Bring the learning to life in your room by have a baseball player dress up day! The letter included explains everything to the parents!
