This fabulous little gem is a traditional game song used in early elementary years. This song is used for rhythm patterns, prepping titi, practicing ta and titi. It is also used for ascending and descending melodic line concepts. There is a game, with directions included, as well as printable fish to use. In these 13 pages, you will find the following:
*FISH for beats and text to read in order to find phrases.
*FISH IN BUBBLES...pop the bubbles to get rhythms and be rewarded with sound (3 different pages)
*FISH WITH ROCKS... on page 1 drag the prep rhythms from the rocks up to the fish so that they align with the text AND on page 2 drag the practice rhythms up to the fish so that they align with the text.
*MELODIC LINE PREP...as you introduce the class to ascending melodic line, a child can "swim" the fish upward along the rocks and text, opening up conversation about what ascending melody means.
*MELODIC LINE PRACTICE...all the fish are lined up by phrases on this page. Sing the song on the rhythm as you point to the fish. Ask the children which phrases were ascending and when the board is tapped, the fish will light up along with an arrow, a box and sound.
*THE FULL SONG IS INCLUDED FOR TEACHER. MELODY IS DO THROUGH LA.
*PRINTABLE FISH are included
*GAME DIRECTIONS are included
