This game was created based on the activity many music teachers use where magnets are attached to a ‘pole’ and a paper clip to a fish with a rhythm. The more traditional game didn’t work in my own classroom due to large class sizes so I thought I’d make an interactive game to reach more students!
This file is a PowerPoint file so it will work on any interactive board you have or play it as a station on a computer.
Students choose a fish from the pond which will take them to a fish bowl containing a rhythm made up of quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rest. Please note that two of the rhythm patterns contain eighth notes that are inverted.
I hope you have found it helpful and please let me know if you have suggestions for improvements! Feed back is appreciated!
This game is also available with quarter notes and eighth notes only and these two sets are also available as a bundle set.
