This is a NO WRITING exit ticket for students to show how their readiness about a topic. There are 5 different exit ticket designs (each one of them is available in color and black and white!)-- one to match each teaching style. Students can select the color from a traffic light, the numbers 1-3, choose whether they are still working or finished, etc. Each one is a little bit different because each classroom is a little bit different!
To use a Clip It!, students clip a clothespin, paper clip, binder clip, or anything else you can think of onto the paper to show their answer. This means it is REUSABLE. Mine are laminated to ensure they will last for a long time. You could also have students circle their answer (although that still requires a pencil, and I promised these were no writing exit tickets!).
I got the idea for this in my classroom, because I am constantly asking students to show me how they feel about a concept by giving me one, two, or three fingers. I tell them one means they don't know what is happening, two means they are almost there, and three means they have it figured out and we can make it harder. I wanted a new way to show this, so I created these! Now I pass them out at the end of class and have students show it to me on their way out.
