Quick and Engaging Non-Fiction Reading Response Routine
My students love this simple but powerful reading response routine. By doing this reading response, your students will activate their prior knowledge, build vocabulary and summarize new facts in a short window of time. Their findings can be shared in a partner talk or circle share, added to a common "book of knowledge" or new word wall related to chosen non-fiction content. Simply provide appropriate articles, books or other non-fiction texts of interest and model how to use this response.
