Using the ever-popular 1 Semester of Spanish Love Song from YouTube, students complete a not-so-authentic, cloze listening activity. After this they create their own love song to reflect their strengths.
Typically completed in one class period (with typing time the second class), students are not allow to reference dictionaries or the internet since the project is based on what they know.
The possibilities are endless, the creativity is astonishing, and it this is a valuable tool to really see what student view as their strengths (providing valuable planning and teaching insights).
