Curriculum Review with a Twist!
This game is based on the TV game show 1 VS 100. It's a fun way to review music knowledge and is based on middle school music curriculum. There are 29 questions included in the game.
I have used it with my class as a way to review or introduce curricular topics that is really fun and exciting for the class. It works with a class of 20 or with a group of 100 with equal success. You can play it in a game show manner or use the powerpoint questions as a quiz for your class.
This game involves ALL students and not just the ‘contestant’. It can be played in a number of ways, depending on the classroom situation.
Each question has 3 possible answers and students must choose the correct answer.
Questions include knowledge of:
Each student gets a yellow, blue and red card. (A printable page is included.) They use the cards to indicate which answer they think is correct.
**Complete Rules and Game Suggestions Included.
Questions may be changed to whatever will suit your group. Please use this game as it fits best but do not share or copy this for others.
My students have really enjoyed this game. I have changed questions to fit different uses as a review of material we have been covering in class. It also gives you an opportunity to discuss or explain answers they didn’t know.
** If you want to use this as a review quiz, simply hand out the score sheet included for students to use to mark their answers and correct them as the answers are given.
