If you liked my free set of 2 Step Story Problems, then you'll love having more problems to use to help your students understand what to do to solve 1 and 2 step story problems.
Your students will read the short stories on each page and think about the actions in the story. They can then think about what action must be taken to solve it. Will they add, or will they subtract or will they do both?
There are three problems on each page and a total of 30 problems, on ten different pages, to solve. This activity would work well if you are introducing the two step process to your kids. RTI groups, small groups, or even as homework, this activity will help your kids feel more confident with how to find the answers.
There is a page that you can put on the back of each page for your students to draw pictures to show their work and also a place to use their words to explain how they solved the problem.
