Files open in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word so you can edit them to your liking.
This lesson/activity bundle contains PowerPoint files that need to be given to students in order as some tasks in lesson 5 might be dependent on completing a task in lesson 3…and so on.
These tasks begin with the assumption that students are starting with a blank Microsoft Outlook account and have no contacts, draft emails, tasks, notes, calendars etc.
Most email tasks ask the students to save the emails as a draft without sending because we don’t have email capability. I also don’t want them all sending emails to fake email accounts as a whole class all at once every day!
Students can work through each lesson and task on their own, but I usually do each one together as a class and make sure everyone gets each task correct before moving on to the next one…it’s up to you though.
If your students are going to be taking the MOS Outlook 2016 exam please make sure you use the GMetrix practice software which might be available from your school district. The exam is of medium difficulty. My students have a hard time with the exam mostly because there are about 45 tasks and only 50 minutes to complete them. It’s not that the exam tasks are hard, it’s just a lot of reading and typing for my middle-schoolers to read through quick enough to get through all the tasks before time expires.
