These 10 art projects are designed to engage students with fun ideas that will allow them to use any mediums and any materials. If you can make a mark with it, you can make these artworks. These art lessons include simple directions, a visual step-by-step for easy creating among all ages, and a page to create art on.
These Art Resources are BEST USED AS PRINTED, TAKE HOME/SEND HOME RESOURCES or used for ART SUBS or put in SUB TUBS. This is a PDF; it is not editable and HAS NOT been set up as a Digital Resource.
This is intended to be used for Art Subs or put in Sub Tubs for Middle School Teachers, or as a take-home art resource during emergency situations like the Coronavirus (COVID-19) closures, or if you can't print it off, they can be created on whatever paper a student has available to them and they can view the directions digitally.

This Distance Learning Art Projects Booklet Includes: 10 Take Home or Art Sub Lessons
1) Passion Still Life
In this task, you are going to find an object that represents your passion. Place it somewhere and draw it as a Still Life Drawing.
2) Proportion
In this task, you are going to pick a small creature and draw it so that it fills your page and is squished in the frame of the paper. The proportion of the creature will be so large it will seem to be unable to fit in the paper.
3) Shoe Still Life
In this task, you are going to draw a shoe in a still life drawing and shade in the values.
4) Emphasis
In this task, you are going to create an art piece that places emphasis on something that represents your identity or explores a part of your identity.
5) Contrast
In this task, you are going to create an art piece that explores creating contrast using a subject of your choice.
6) Hand Still Life
In this task, you are going to create a still life art piece of your hand that features something unique happening on your hand that you create from your imagination. Have fun with this, what could you add?
7) Pop Culture Mash-up
In this task, you are going to create an art piece that mashes up two icons from pop culture that you like.
8) View of a Room
In this task, you are going to draw a still life of a view of a room. Find a spot to sit with your drawing mediums and find a view in a room you want to draw. Use value to shade in the drawing.
9) Attack of the ______!
In this task, you are going to create and art piece that is inspired by “Attack of the _____” old school movies. Attack of the Giant Ants... Attack of the Puppies... Find something small to draw LARGE in your artwork to play with the Principle of Design, Proportion.
10) Gratitude
In this task, you are going to create an art piece that explores things that you are grateful for on a gratitude branch.

HOW TO PREP:
-Print and Keep in a Sub Tub or Sub Binder for if you are ill or unexpectedly away. Have student handouts photocopied and pre-prepped in case you are away.
-Leave for a Maternity leave
-Photocopy and place in envelopes (stapled/double-sided) and send home for Distance Learning
-Photocopy, place in duo tangs, and send home for Distance Learning
-Print off and keep in binders for Home schooling
HOW TO USE:
-Distance Learning: Print off booklets and send home with students in duo tangs or envelopes. You may not put this on your blog or Google Drive as it will compromise my Copyright and means anyone can access it freely. You may NOT share this freely with other staff, but you MAY purchase additional licensing for cheaper.
-Print and Keep in a binder for a Sub or TTOC
-Use for Emergency leave or unexpected school closures
-Use to supplement Home School education
-Use to supplement E-Learning (note, this is NOT EDITABLE).
Students can complete the work on the provided pages OR in the case of Distance Learning, Emergencies, or Unexpected Absences with a Sub, on ANY paper. You can use ANY mediums if you choose to allow for flexible learning and experimentation.
