This 11-page activity packet is for your older students. If we are what we eat, is it possible we are what we watch? And if so, what could this be doing to our minds? In this activity, the students will watch their favorite shows and record each time one of the commandments is broken.
After they record their information, they will tally up their results. Once in class, the students will present their information and discuss. The discussion is always wonderful! Most of the students are shocked and never connected their faith to what they see on television. If anything, it will get them to start paying more attention to what they are watching.
The results of all the students will be compiled, and the students will complete an activity that you will feature on a bulletin board. The board will definitely stop people in their tracks and get them thinking about their own viewing habits.
