This is a collection of follow up worksheets intended to be used in independent literacy centers in your K-2 classrooms. This packet can be printed and copied for immediate use in your literacy centers and can be used throughout the entire year. These worksheets can be used in both fiction and non-fiction units.
Each page is a follow up worksheet that can be completed independently by students after reading and listening to any on-line story. I use these follows ups with websites such as Tumblebooks. Storyline Online, and Bookflix. There is a space on each page for the children to add the title of the book they read so you can use the same worksheets at many times in the year. Each page poses a comprehension question to the children where they have space to draw and write their answers. Some examples of questions/tasks posed: Draw and label the setting of the story, What was the problem and the solution in the story? Draw and write about the major events in the beginning, middle, and end of the story. Write one fact you found and one opinion you have after reading to the story.
