Here you will find 10 complete days of minute classes (could be done in 7 days for block scheduling) to master the research and writing process on a small scale. The anchor text for this is George Orwell's essay entitled "Politics of the English Language" which shows that when thought turns into language it suffers from distortion and deception because of the competing aims and agendas of opposing parties. This has come to a head in American politics and now is the time for educators to equip their students to form their own opinions and thoughtfully respond. The end product of this project is a ~5 page paper with 5 citations and a two minute speech. This resource includes: table of contents, purpose, standards, timeline, template, student sample, grading guidelines and more. This is a great resource to use in either the fall or the spring and all of the heavy lifting is done for you. I am glad to provide any grading advice on this project on firstname.lastname@example.org.
