This is a great addition to a Nocturnal Animal Unit!
My students love using this hands-on activity in our learning centers with their friends. The only prep needed is a printer, card stock, scissors, and paper. I recommend laminating for durability.
10 Frame Cards in color
10 Frame Cards in black & white
Student Recording Sheet
- Print and laminate the 10 frame cards.
- Print and photocopy student recording sheets. - Students color the bats on their recording sheet to match the color of the 10 frame cards.
- Students read the 10 frame cards and write the number in the box of the bat with the same color.
To save paper and printer ink, you could shrink the cards down to a smaller size in your printer settings and attach all cards together with a jump ring. This saves paper and allows for you to print a handy set for each student.
Feel free to share anymore creative ways to make this activity fun and engaging for students.
