"Using and reusing Ten Important Sentences helps students build the skills they need for comprehension." - Scott Foresman
Students will be practicing and reinforcing these important skills:
Recalling facts and details
Finding and distinguishing between fact and opinion
Arranging events in sequence
Recognizing cause and effect relationships
Identifying main idea and supporting details
10 Important Sentences includes two pages for each story in Unit 3. The first page includes 10 sentences from the story in random order. Students need to find the sentence in the story and write the page number they found it on. They cut apart all of the sentences and glue them in sequential order on the 2nd page. When they are finished they can practice reading them.
