This slide show is designed to first teach students how to see patterns on a hundred's chart. Every time a student moves down one place on the hundred's chart, he/she is adding ten. Students should practice seeing the pattern as they move down on each column on the chart (ex. one box below the number 8 is a 1 and an 8 or 18, under that box is a 2 and an 8 or 28, then a 3 and an 8, etc.) Students will become more familiar with the patterns on the hundred's chart practicing this slide show activity of filling in the missing number. This is also a great way to show patterns in numbers.
