These are the activities that I use on the 100th day of school in my first grade classroom.
Included in this packet:
-Slide show in pdfs that can be used or imported into any smart or promethean board. Each slide shows pictures of things or people from 100 years ago.
-Then and now flip chart (activinspire). I also have included a .pdf file that smart board users can import. It has an interactive sorting slide to sort pictures from slide show into "then" and "now" categories. Only the flip chart file is interactive. You must have activinspire to use this version. The other version is pdf and is for all users. Just not interactive.
-then and now sorting activity master: students sort and glue pictures of items from 100 years ago and now (taken from the flip chart). This is almost exactly like the last slide on the flipchart, but it is for independent, partner or even stations/centers work.
-Race to 100 math game: students use this activity page and place value blocks to practice exchanging ones for tens and writing numbers to 100.
-2 writing prompt masters: "If I lived 100 years ago..." and "When I'm 100 years old..." We make self-portraits of ourselves at 100 years old to display with these.
-Recipe for 100's day trail mix
-Note to parents for helping bring in trail mix supplies and a reminder to have their child dress up as a 100 year old boy or girl on the 100th day of school.
-station labels for trail mix
