Product Description

This document includes 100 exercises for practicing iteration / looping structures. These problems are organized into 7 categories. Please see the preview to get a general idea of the contents of this document.

These exercises are designed for introductory-level students who are studying programming, more specifically AP Computer Science / Freshman year CS.

The full set of problems assumes prior understanding of:

  • using different data types: int, float, double, char, string
  • how to write conditional statements and Boolean expressions
  • how to request input from user
  • how to validate user input
  • how to display output on screen
  • how to generate random numbers (3 of 100 problems)

If students are not familiar with all of the above topics, you can cherry pick appropriate problems from the full set of 100 problems.

This problem set is language agnostic and can be used for teaching Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C++, C#, or other languages. Solutions are not included since the solution depends on the language of instruction.
