I teach Kindergarten this year and I use this poster throughout the entire year. I used the poster maker in our library to print out a large sized version and I cut out the scalloped edges before laminating. I took a picture of each student and then used velcro dots to stick them to the poster when they earned their way in to the 100's club. They get so excited to see their picture on the wall! At the beginning of the year they earn their way in to the 100's club by learning to count to 100 by 1's. Once everyone in the class has achieved this we have a popsicle party. After everyone can count to 100 I remove all of the pictures and they have to earn their way into the 100's club again by knowing 100 sigh words. At this point I let the students come back to the classroom during lunch on Friday's. Usually I pop in a movie but sometimes I will let them teach me a popular dance or we will talk about whatever they want to talk about. I think this is the real motivator for many of my students learning 100 sight words.
