This is one week's worth of in-depth lesson planning. These lesson plans feature a connection between Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and Adeline Yen Mah's aspirations in life. 10th Grade ELA Common Core standards are addressed in ways that promote critical thinking, text-to-life meaning, vocabulary development, and investigative analysis into especially characterization, author's purpose, themes, and symbolism.
This bundle deal includes heaps of original activities and questions that students will remember for a lifetime. Text-to-world connections are at the forefront of these truly, meaningful, educational, life-long lessons. Overall, these plans are a small taste of the complete recipe that resulted in remarkable improvement in my class throughout the year, and I encourage others to explore the ideas found in them for the sake of helping our students to become the best people possible for our future.
