The number 10 is important in math, so let's celebrate the 10th day of school with some centers focused on learning more about the number 10!
This document is PERFECT for early elementary students who are still trying to grasp ways to make 10. (K-2).
This pack includes the following SIX centers:
Spill and count- students spill beans and create sums of ten (record sheet included)
Pennies and Dimes- Students roll the penny dice, collect pennies, and exchange them for dimes (game board included)
Combination of Ten puzzles- create sums of ten through puzzles ( numbers represented by digit, word, ten frame, and coins)
Go-Ten!- Much like the classic game Go Fish, students race to find cards that equal a sum of ten
Beads and Baggies- Using a baggy with ten beads, students sort the beads into two sections and create two groups that equal ten ( record sheet included)
Goody Goody Gumball- Be the first to find the missing addend to a sum of ten on your gumball game board!
Spin a Ten!- Use a spinner to create equations that have a sum of ten. Be the first to fill in your record sheet with ten complete equations!
Your students will LOVE these games, again and again!
