I have always liked the song, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” but it drives me crazy when I pick up a storybook version and they don’t get the “right items” with the right numbers! I joke that I won’t buy it unless they get it right.
In case you prefer a different version than the traditional, I have not put in numbers, so you can switch out as needed. For instance, some people sing “10 drummers drumming” instead of “12 drummers drumming.” This also comes in handy if you are using a recording that has switched things around- you can use this set no matter what the order.
Included in this set:
*Large color picture flashcards: Have students hold them when you sing or play the song. Or print two of each card, and play concentration as the song plays in the background.
*Small rhythm pattern cards with words and pictures: put the cards in order, read the rhythm with rhythm syllables. You could use these in centers, or print enough for small groups in your class.
*Worksheet to reinforce rhythm patterns.
*Three coloring pages
I hope this set is useful to you and your students. Please leave feedback for future credit, and because I like to hear from you! Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out the other products in my store, Two Little Barkers Studio.
