Product Description
Many of the games are ancient games. They provide students with opportunities to develop a strategy and think several steps ahead in deciding a move. Games include: Nine Men’s Morris, Ancient Game of NIM, Oddly NIM, Criss Cross NIM, Kalah, Oware, Seega, Achi, Checkers, Seega Jr., Alquerque, and Yote.

All of the games are 2 player strategy games and range in difficulty with some appropriate for first grade students and many for all ages including adults. The only materials required are the included game boards and the counters of 2 different colors. Pieces are provided that may be cut out if you do not have access to coins, counters, or colored stones.

Suggested uses for the games:
• Extensions for Gifted and Talent Students with follow-up strategy discussion
• Indoor recess
• Early finishers
• Develop spatial reasoning
• Develop and discuss problem solving
