Description

Badges and the idea of gamification is one way teachers can help motivate students in the classroom and help students keep track of effort and achievement. The idea is much like the concept behind the Scouts movement - achieve something, earn a badge. Many popular video games also use a badge system, and many of our students enjoy and understand this way of measuring achievement. So it makes sense to use a badges systems in the classroom.

This resource provides over 120 badge images across a number of themes. They are provided in PNG format as well as a ready to edit PowerPoint file. There is also a link to a Google Slides version if you are part of a G Suite for Education school or district.

How can you use badges in the classroom? There are many articles and resources available to give you ideas on how you might be able to implement a badge system in your class. Just Google 'badges in the classroom' to find out more.

The files are provided in ZIP format with the PowerPoint, instructions, link to the Google Slides version and PNGs included.
