Did you miss the 100th Day Celebration? Do you want to change things up this year?
Last year, I thought about celebrating the 101st Day of school to change things up. My co-worker and friend said we should celebrate the 120th Day of school since the new Common Core standard for first grade says: CCSS.Math.Content.1.NBT.A.1 Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral...what a great idea! I noticed that other teachers have done the same.
This packet includes a variety of full page activities, most of which can be used with little preparation to add to your day of celebrating.
What's in this packet?
-4 short writing prompts (finish the sentence/answer the question)
-When I am 120 Years Old Writing Prompt
-120th Day Poem
-Activities to complete in 120 seconds (students first estimate how many they can do of each task)
-Race to 120 dice game board (120 chart)
-120 Word Scramble (with cut out tiles)
-120th Day Snack Mat
-120 Write the Room
-120 Days Smarter Bookmarks
