Seek and Find all the things with K. Teach use of descriptive words or teach students to ask good questions.
This product includes one Artic & More for Me K Picture Page and one Artic & More for Me K Directions Page.
The Directions Page includes seek and find directions requiring recall of one item, two items, or three items.
The goal is to have the student find the items and then state/describe the items that were found while using accurate production of the target sound. The directions, for each item the student must find, include one or more words with the target sound.
Activities might include:
Using the Seek and Find page, read each item aloud and have the students race to see who can find the item(s) first. This addresses auditory memory/recall, listening for details, and attention.
After finding an item or items, have the students use complete sentences to tell what they found, i.e. “I found a blue sock.” This addresses production of target sounds in context, auditory memory/recall, and use of information in a sentence form.
Have students choose an image on the Picture Page, then have them describe the location of the item in a sentence or tell two things they know about the item. The other students should try to guess which picture the student is describing.
Have the students practice formulating questions. Each student can choose an image and ask a question about the image. Monitor speech sound production as students formulate unique, spontaneous questions.
