This packet is easy as 1-2-3! I have compiled 126 word family lists. This is hands down the simplest way to teach a child how to read. You will not find anything easier or more complete than this. I have been working on this project for a long time, and I believe that it will help many children excel in their spelling and reading. I have bought many different curriculums trying to find the best way to teach my 4 boys the correct way to spell and read.
Everything that I had found seemed too complicated, unorganized, or incomplete. With these cards you can literally make your early elementary student into a superb speller, and reader with 15 minutes a day. Laminate the pages (houses). There should be 3 houses per page. Cut each individual house out (A paper cutter will work best). Then punch a hole in the corner of each of the laminated flashcards, and put them on a key ring. Children use the flashcards to write their word family pattern on their included worksheet. They then glue it in a book that will compile all of their work when all the word houses are complete. They get to color each page as beautifully or as colorful as they would like. When finished they will have a complete book of their work. Children will love this. It teaches them the importance of reading, and also teaches that words have patterns that need to be followed. If you want a very simple way to teach a child how to become a superb reader and speller, this is it. I hope this brings the child or children you work with as much success as I am seeing. I am marketing to everyone around me and decided to post it here for others to enjoy. Also you only need one set of these per family or classroom as the flashcards are laminated for continual use.
This would also be a great addition to any classroom or student. The flashcards are a simple and fun way to review word patterns in a quick way.
It is important to make sure your printer is set to print on landscape. It will print objects on a horizontal page, rather than vertical.
Thanks for checking out my curriculum!
