This social studies resource is a scavenger hunt activity that allows students to review the thirteen colonies in an engaging, collaborative way. Students will rotate through three different stations and use the clues at each station to determine whether the New England, Middle or Southern colony is being represented. Clues will review government, location, education, climate, and economy. Students then need to explain their thinking in a short response using supporting evidence and their knowledge of the thirteen colonies. This is a fun cooperating activity for students and a great way for you to assess their learning.

Check out this feedback from happy teachers:

❤️ This was a great review activity for cooperative groups in my classroom. Thanks!

❤️ Great activity to check for understanding. Worked well for a sub for my 5th graders.

❤️ This activity made for a great reinforcement of the colony descriptions and for good discussion. I used during an observation and received many compliments!

❤️ I used this for independent practice. It works great because students are using basic key points taught in your lesson to decipher what colony is the passage describing.

❤️ LOVED THIS! My students were engaged and constantly asking questions. Helped me concentrate on the main ideas when it comes to the colonies!
