Included is a pdf version of the product and a PowerPoint version. The PowerPoint version is fully editable and will also allow students to create text boxes a type directly on the Fact Sheets, if you so desire.

Matching Game: There are 3 cards for each colony showing the name of the colony, the region in which it was located (New England, Middle Colonies, or Southern Colonies), and the motive for establishing the colony. It is best to print the cards on card stock and laminate them if you plan to use more than once. Mix up the cards and have students match them up.

More on the Colonies: This involves students in research to learn more about each colony. There is a “Fact Sheet” for each colony. You may assign each student one colony or have them do them all for an extended project.
Oral Reporting with a Flare: Students report on their colony by creating a poster board of information and pictures with a hole cut out for their face. Included are four “hats” (2 for boys and 2 for girls).
