Product Description
I created this lesson that includes 20 slides which explain the differences between the three amendments. There is also a section about The Freedmen’s Bureau and Fisk University. This lesson was written for fifth grade, but it could work for other grades as well!

I also included a graphic organizer that your students can use to organizer their notes. There is also a writing prompt at the end that your students can write on, which can help you to assess their understanding of the powerpoint. I usually have students write these in their composition notebooks, but they make great exit tickets for post-its too.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I appreciate your purchase so much!

5.20 Analyze the goals and accomplishments of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, Freedmen’s Bureau, and Fisk University to help former slaves begin a new life.
