These are the same ACTIVITY CARD files that are on the bundle CD.
This set of Learning Center cards is designed for painless, ongoing review of the standards and concepts that appear on Comprehensive Assessment third grade mathematics tests without interfering with or taking up a disproportionate amount of time of the daily curriculum.
You can print 140 activity cards for your Math Learning center.
The overall focus of these activity cards is on the standards as presented in state comprehensive assessments. The math examples presented, which are primarily for grades 2-3, cover the following:
Number Sense & Operations
Patterns, Relations, & Algebra
Data Analysis & Statistics, & Probability
They are numbered 1-35 with 4 examples (a, b, c, d ) for each number from one of the five areas. The cards may be color-coded according to the above categories , the name of which may be printed on the back of each card along with the answer. This is helpful if a student needs assistance in a particular area as you can easily pull out all the cards of a particular color that correspond to the student's specific category of concern.
Also included is a Student Activity Chart as well as a Student Activity Worksheet which can be duplicated to aid in creating individual folders for each student. The Student Activity Chart may be attached to the cover of a pocket folder. The student circles the number on which he is working. After completion of all 4 examples that correspond to the number, the student fills in the circle with a highlighter or magic marker. This keeps track of items addressed as well as those which need to be completed. The worksheets can be kept inside the folder, one pocket for blank worksheets and the other for completed activities.
Another option is to create a workbook of blank worksheets including the Student Activity Chart which pupils can keep in their desks, thereby eliminating the need for folders.
The answers may be printed on the back of each card. Students may use this feature for self-correction.
Cards should be printed on 65lb. or 110lb.cardstock and can be laminated for protection against wear. After printing, there are guidelines for easy cutting will fit perfectly in a file box .

Depending on the thickness of the cardstock or the features of your printer, you may choose to print them a few pages at a time, or with an automatic feed.If you wish to print the answers on the reverse sides of the cards, the page numbers in the images of the Answers File section correspond to the page numbers in the images of Activities File section. (Ex: Page 1a in the Answers File section has the correct answers to the page 1a activities in the Activities File section.)
Therefore, the page for printing the answers for activity cards page 1a activity would be page 84. So, if you wish to print all the answers on all the activity cards, you merely insert the printed pages from the Activities File into the feeding tray and print the answers on the back by choosing page numbers 84-153 in the Answers File.
