This student-centered project allows students to explore essential understandings and topics about the different ways that states treated different ethnic and religious groups in order to utilize their economic contributions while limiting their ability to challenge the authority of the state during the Early Modern Era in a hands-on way.
In this exercise, students pick two examples from a provided list to research using guiding questions to help them. They will then provide a written response that allows them to compare and contrast their examples.
