This is a packet of games that students can play and have fun learning about closed type syllables. It includes a fun variety of 15 games teaching 100+ short vowel patterned words. There are multiple CVC word forms included such as: VC, VCC, CVCC, CCVC, CCVCC, CCCVC, CCCVCC. Once students master identifying and reading closed syllables with automaticity, they have mastered about 50% of the English language, thus, giving them a great foundation on which to build more difficult reading skills. Their decoding skills will become sharper as they begin to break the mystery to the reading code.

Also, this packet contains a word work notebook that is super student and teacher friendly. Students are able to learn quality word skills in just minutes, and teachers have everything they need at their fingertips to teach the skills in a jiffy with all preparation complete.
