In my district, we must write each goal and objective to include all 6 elements: Who, Will do what, to what level or degree, under what conditions, how will progress be measured, in what length of time. They do not have to be in that order, but all parts must be present. I have written each of these goals and objectives with the 6 elements in mind. Each goal and objective was created by me, for my own students in 5th-9th grades, but can be used for other grade levels, as well. I have goals in the areas of reading fluency and comprehension, math, writing, organization, and behavior. In addition, I have over 60 objectives for the same 6 areas.
*If you have not written your goals and objectives with the 6 elements in mind, you will notice that they are very long and wordy. However, my district requires them to be written in this manner, and yours might, as well. Obviously, you may wish to change the percentages, number of trials, or even the measurement tool. This just gives you an idea of different goals and objectives to use!
*September 2014* I have updated to include transition goals and objectives, as well as added more behavioral objectives.
*August 2016* I updated the file and added more goals and lot more objectives! I also listened to feedback and rearranged the file to put the goals and objectives together according to subject area!
