Getting students to infer and write about their reading can be hard! Check out how I teach my students to write about their inferences through their reading of quotes!
Directions on How to Use This File:
One can be given a day. The students can lift up the flip-flap (see page 92). Let your students read the quotes. Next, have them infer what the person who said the quote meant, write about it their inference, and then as a class share their thoughts to discuss the meaning of the quotes. Using these will allow and help your students to think about what they read in order to gather the deeper meaning of what they are reading.
