The Rubric - Designed to use when setting writing goals (for NAPLAN writing preparation) or creative writing in general. The student friendly language has been adapted from the NAPLAN marking guide to make it easier for students to understand what they are trying to achieve. Goals can be written out or highlighted. The best way to take advantage of this individualised rubric is to use one of six persuasive stimulus pages. Then collect and mark a writing sample. Once the data of where the students are placed (eg. a 2 in vocabulary) they then select a 3 in vocabulary as their goal. Data for your whole class can be used to find patterns such as weaker areas (eg. paragraphing).
