I couldn't find the perfect planer for our first grade home school, so I made one! 180 Days of First Grade Assignment Planner is designed especially with home school families in mind. The instructor/parent can fill in the "assignments" and your child will know what to expect from the day and start learning to manage his/her own work load. (In my house this has reduced the power struggles!) The planner is also designed to document almost everything you need for portfolio time-from attendance, to work samples, topics covered and book lists, simply fill in the planner and you will be ready to go come portfolio season!
"Circle Skills" help your student practice basic skills-and provide you with a year of no-prep morning work type activities. These can be done independently while you help another child, or as a group. They are common core aligned, and repetitive enough to encourage independence, but are open ended so that you can adjust the challenge to meet your little learner's ability level. And they are fun!
Dice and domino math games
Drawing and writing prompts

Every fifth day there is a field trip summary sheet with writing and drawing prompts your student can use to document all of those wonderful homeschooling adventures!
Each quarter of the year has a summary (to be printed on card stock) that will help you track your progress and remember the best things about the quarter. (And plan a little celebration too!)
The planner is formatted to be top bound (lefty friendly!) and uses OpenDyslexic font for struggling readers.
In addition to the planner, you will only need dice, dominoes, and my Word Bots (free!) to complete all of the "Circle Skills" activities.
You can find the word bots here:
