Please download preview. It includes 10 journal prompts out of 180! If you are still unsure if this is for you, email me and I can give you a better idea of included prompts.
This is a complete SCHOOL YEAR worth of science journals. The format is very appealing to middle schoolers:
Miscellaneous Mondays: The journal prompt is science based but may vary from a multiple choice question, true or false, draw a picture, create a song, etc.
Trades in Science Tuesdays: Explore careers that require science backgrounds. Students must think about pros/cons of the career, if they would want to do it, why science is necessary, etc.
What do YOU think Wednesdays: An ethical or debate style science question is posed to students. They are asked to defend their position using logic and reason. Topics include water quality, pollution, genetic testing, etc.
Tweet it Thursdays: Students are asked to write a tweet about something that was covered in the previous science class period.
Freaky Fridays: AWESOME science pictures, videos, or fun facts. Students are asked their reactions, or to make observations, inferences, and predictions.
HIGHLY ENGAGING, FUN JOURNAL FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! I have my kids keep the journal in the classroom so that I can grade sporadically whenever I have time. MUCH easier than a daily bellwork question!!!!
