Product Description
In this activity, students watch 6 movie clips from the 1930s. After each clip, the students fill in the graphic organizer by determining whether the movie reflected the struggles people endured in real life in the 1930s, or whether the movie reflected a form of escapism- a means by which people escaped hardships of the thirties through motion picture films. An answer key is provided for your use. An additional page is included for teacher use, which includes the youtube links for each 1930s movie trailer, clip, or scene. My students particularly enjoy this activity, as it is an engaging way for them to learn about the 30s!
