PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product features two interesting debate prompts regarding 1950s American society. With your purchase, you receive an in-depth student requirements sheet (including the prompts and an explanation of the debate process), a scoring rubric, teacher directions for successful implementation in the classroom, and a student voting sheet. The prompts will have students debating whether or not the 1950s truly was the "golden age" of America and whether or not the government's tactics used during the Red Scare were legitimate (they will consider the age-old debate of security vs. liberty). This is a great way to engage students, while developing their research, presentation, and critical thinking skills!
