Description

This 1968 Simulation is so cool, I can't even stress it enough! 1968 is often described as one of the most eventful years in modern history. Over the course of this one year the Vietnam War was at its height, protests and assassinations were on the news, peace signs, love-ins and psychedelic rock were on the scene. To help us better understand this time students will participate in a simulation which examines the DARKEST LOWS to the INCREDIBLE HIGHS.
This lecture is both informative and interactive as students choose their fate throughout 1968 and record their "experiences" on their handout. Each students experience is different. This PowerPoint lecture covers the big events in 1968 and also focuses heavily on the counterculture and protests associated with the Vietnam War. This lecture is for more mature students due to drug references associated with hippie lifestyle.
